The Davao Noontime Toastmasters Club was chartered as Club No. 1480 on March 9, 1996 with
ATM Rene Lizada installed as Charter President. The Charter Presentation and Installation of Officers was held at the Villa
Margarita Hotel along J.P. Laurel Avenue, Davao City, Philippines.
Since then, the Davao Noontime Toastmasters Club has acquired the reputation of providing
excellent training for its members. The Noonies, as members are called, take pride in belonging to a club that cares for its
members by taking the time to improve each one through coaching, mentoring and honest evaluations. Members feel comfortable
with fellow Noonies because they can be who they are without fear of ridicule or rejection. This has become the club's
character.
